CANTON, Ohio — Feb. 14, 2008 — The Timken Company (NYSE: TKR) today announced that manganese (Mn) will be added to the company’s generic alloy surcharge for steel customers effective with shipments beginning on April 1, 2008.
Timken implemented the change in response to higher global demand and tightening supplies of manganese. All other raw-material surcharges will remain in effect.
