CANTON, Ohio, Sep 28, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- The Timken Company recently named Brian Walters director of heavy-duty sales. In this position, Brian will be responsible for sales to the original equipment heavy-duty industry for Timken's automotive division.

Brian has been with Timken for more than 25 years, serving in a variety of marketing and sales positions. Most recently, he served as manager of global business development. Walters graduated from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa., with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a master's in business administration.
Brian replaces Bill Lucas, a valued member of Timken's automotive team for more than 30 years who recently passed away of an apparent heart attack.
