Michael Del Col Joins Timken Aerospace Drive Systems as National Sales Manager
Manchester, Connecticut facility supplies helicopter transmissions and repair services for military

NORTH CANTON, Ohio, Nov.  10, 2017 — The Timken Company (NYSE: TKR; www.timken.com), a world leader in engineered bearings and mechanical power transmission products, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Del Col as national sales manager for the aerospace drive systems business.

Timken Aerospace Drive Systems provides flight critical gearboxes and rotor head components for the U.S. Army, Boeing, Sikorsky and other civil platform customers.   Timken builds transmissions and drive system components for the Apache AH64D and the new AH64E model, as well as many rotor head components for the Blackhawk and Seahawk, Skycrane and Chinook helicopters. Timken Aerospace Drive Systems has recently added Apache gearbox repair services to its market offering.

Del Col joins Timken from KLX Aerospace Solutions where he was a regional sales manager focused on providing consumables to the aerospace market, including OEMs, MROs and commercial airlines. In his new role with Timken, Del Col works with existing and new military and commercial customers for transmissions and rotor head components and repair services. He has more than 20 years of experience in leadership roles with BAE Systems, Goodrich, Motorola and TRW.

Del Col holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration from Arizona State University.
